Art Appreciation Fridays with copyranter, Infinitely Lazy Edition.

(L) "Infinitely Lazy"—(1997) by Elias Wakan, hemlock, 12 x 20 x 10 inches. SOLD (sorry). An infinity symbol made to look like it was made from a Lazy Susan (that's my interpretation, anyway).
(R) Nothing.
previously in art appreciation with copyranter:
1. Montagne de Futons vs. Milla Jovovich on a pile of mattresses.
2. Split Ends vs. "Split Endz."
3. "David" vs. "The Gift."
4. Mapplethorpe vs. copyranter.
5. Warhol's "Oxidation" vs. copyranter's "Untitled."
6. Ellsworth Kelly's "The Gate" vs. copyranter's "The Opening."
7. Warhol's "Pepper Pot" vs. copyranter's "Pork & Beans."

Meanwhile (sigh) children starve in Africa while Ranter refuses to eat the crusts.

And Al Gore tells me to tell you that if that's a paper plate on which the wasted crusts rest, he's kicking your ass real soon.

Chris, also if the artist is dead or alive. Sure the work might suck, but if they're dead, $$$ baby, $$$.

You should have an auction, Mark ... for like semiotic shit.

Like:

Here's a graphic for some artsy hoo-ha; it costs 5 bazillion dollars ... but here on my blog, it's 4 cents. Going once going twice ... anyone anyone?

TMB: "Four gazillion dollars in this corner!!!"

Etc.
